HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here!! The host went above and beyond for us and we truly enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, easily accessible and the perfect stay for our weekend getaway. From the very beginning the host was friendly, responded quickly and provided the best recommendations on local restaurants, shops and places to visit. They provided absolutley everything we might need for our stay. We will be back in the future & truly feel that anyone who stays here, will be delighted with the home and the amazing customer service provided ♡

I have stayed lots of places but I have never stayed at a place where the attention to detail was at this level.  It doesn’t go unnoticed.  Very impressive.  Examples: remotes with Velcro located exactly where you would expect, directions attached to that location, ropes for the boat all wrapped perfectly around the individual cleats, lighter fluid next to the “provided” firewood, ingredients for smores in a gift basket, a welcome charcuterie board, labels and directions throughout the home, each cabinet has a list of what is in there – walked around smiling the whole time.  I tried to find something that was missed – ain’t happening.  Details matter to these property owners.  This is the only review I have ever left – well deserved.  Thanks again.

Had the most amazing stay!! This house was perfect, spacious, clean and stocked with every kitchen item you could possibly need. The canal is so beautiful at night and was so fun watching all the boats go by. Loved it!!!

Wonderful host, so accomodating and friendly. If you want to spend a great weekend relaxing, boating and hanging out with the town locals this is the place for you! So clean and refreshing, the floor plan is great for larger crowds. We will be back!! The kids had such a great time fishing off the dock and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit!!

Thanksgiving greetings! We had a wonderful time enjoying your beautiful home. We kayaked, ate smores, binged weekend football and enjoyed the constant parade of holiday well-wishers along the canal. I rented the cottage primarily because of the apparent safety and security of the docking for my antique wooden boat. It didn’t disappoint !!
This is an exceptional property; interior design well conceived and executed.  While we didn’t cook there, it seemed to be very amply supplied.  And the hosts supplied many unexpected surprise gifts to enhance our stay.
Many Tvs kept all engaged if not boating or conversing in the very ample seating areas.  Especially enjoyed the fire pit two evenings and grateful for host-supplied fire wood—a very nice touch.
The property is very well situated at the center of the chain of lakes and there is a plethora of restaurants nearby.

Love, Love, Love the house! Cousins weekend from NYC, Connecticut, North Carolina and Minnesota. So well organized, so many thoughtful details! We pontooned on the canal and reconnected with Florida cousins, morning kayaking and the parade of boats!! Amazing hosts! Amenities are amazing!

I can’t say enough about this house. It was so beautiful, the hosts left a beautiful cheese & meat platter, waters, every accomodation imaginable. Very clean, back porch overlooked the canal. Kayaks & life vests provided. An awesome coffee bar. You can see all of the edtra touches the owners put into the place.

The Dora Canal Cottage was absolutely wonderful. No details were left unattended. I have never stayed at a more thoughtfully stocked house for guests, there was even a welcoming tray of food in the refrigerator. The furninshings were very comfortable and the gathering areas were perfect for a relaxing stay. We brought our boat and enjoyed the chain so much! We would definitely recommend this beautiful rental property to anyone and hope to return again. Thank you so much for being such generous hosts.

We rented this place with our family and a friend over the Fourth of July, and it was perfect! Beautiful property! It was recently renovated so everything felt new and clean. Lots of space to spread out too. I was amazed at how all of our needs were anticipated with the house set up. Instructions for everything! We tried to book already for next year and some lucky people have already taken the whole month of July! Enjoy!

The Dora Canal Cottage was perfectly located on the waterway and was completely modernized and spotless! Interior design and furnishings were spacious and perfect. Plenty of parking with a circular driveway and double carport. The rear screened porch, firepit sitting area and brand new covered boat slip/dock right on the canal were the best for boat traffic watching. Will be back soon!

Our civil trial team from Winter Park were able to access the Lake County Courthouse easily (3 miles) from this location, which enabled them to focus more energy on their case rather than having to travel from Orange County to Lake County on a daily basis.  Host is very responsive and accomodating.
